Hello!
I’m a poet and novelist who has been telling stories since I was old enough to fall under the spell of a blank notebook and a well-sharpened pencil.
My work for children and adults is eclectic. Having been a carnival sideshow worker, opera singer, expat blogger, advocate for the homeless, jewelry designer, and children’s librarian, I’ve had a lot to draw from! Today, as a mom and ESL teacher, I write about passions real and imaginary that capture my heart and ignite my curiosity: science and faith, the fantastic and the gritty, fairy tales and not-so-happy endings.
Originally from the Midwest, I live in Texas with my family, our two disgruntled cats, and a flock of extremely spoiled chickens.
